Smart Power Distribution

Overview

Industrial automation system nowadays is becoming more and more complex which makes it hard to install and administer. To meet this challenge, industrial users begin to leverage IT technology to enhance asset management in industrial plants. An IT engineer’s average workday is filled with a dizzying array of different protocols, custom software, legacy devices and hardware from many different vendors. In the long term, systems will become more and more autonomously to lighten this workload. The first step towards that goal is to find the right way to integrate those systems.

Early substations required manual switching, and manual collection of data for load, energy consumption, and abnormal events. As the complexity of distribution networks grew, it became economically necessary to automate supervision and control of substations from a centrally attended point, to allow overall coordination in case of emergencies and to reduce operating costs.

System Requirement

•    Efficient data forwarding from field devices to operation center.
•    Reliability but ease of use.
•    Network traffic monitoring for both LAN or WAN.
•    IEC 61850 tested and certified.

DUPO Solution

DUPO DPCOM6000 comes with six 10/100 copper ports and two 100Base-FX fiber ports. With two 100Mbps fiber ports and 32Gbps switch fabric, a real-time non-blocking transmission performance is provided while satisfying the needs for long distance. Software-wise, DPCOM6000 provides a complete set of remote
monitoring and management features. DPCOM6000 is also compliant with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 which makes the perfect choice for this application.

Why DPCOM6000
•    Support Modbus, SNMP and DUPO NMS for remote monitoring and management.
•    Network and dual power redundancy, i.e. RSTP/MSTP/DUPO DP.
•    Advanced configurable multiple event alarm output.
•    Wide working temperature -40~85℃.
•    IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 compliance.
